How do I prepare to go?
How does missions passion get translated into action? As laborers begin to sense God's calling into cross-cultural service, the question often arises, "How do I prepare to go?" This questions is especially important when current responsibilities, for example unfinished college degrees, military commitments, or careers, mean that going isn't possible for another two or more years.
The Nations Cohort"The Nations Cohort" will help each participant take steps in preparing to serve cross-culturally by building on Christ's foundation in their life. Participants will also be able to access and weigh whether or not cross-cultural missions is for them. Upon completion, you’ll be prepared to take next steps in living out God’s calling in your life.

Cohort Testimonials
"In college everyone was talking about reason to go. After I left college, all I heard were the reasons to stay. I need a group of people who are reminding me why I should go and who are helping me take tangible steps in that direction."
– Tom, a recent college grad desiring to serve cross-culturally in the future
"It's easy to get buried in daily tasks. The Cohort helped me lift my head up and be reminded of the bigger picture."
– Rachel, a young professional
"The coursework is very challenging and enlightening... This is for someone who is teachable and eager to make an impact in the world."
– Deployed with the 101st Airborne Division, learning Arabic
One couple recognized God leading them to growth areas to work on before they make plans to head overseas.
Community is critical for growth if you want to be in a place to "go and make disciples of all the nations" for Christ!
"Our experience... When we first got married, we were part of a small group of about 20 young couples and singles that focused on preparing to go. It was led by one of the founding pastors of our church. Over 50% of that group went to the field and a number of others that came out of the momentum of that group. The group didn't continue to meet. Over the following ten years after that group stopped meeting, only two workers were sent to the field from our church. It was our experience that the single greatest factor in seeing people go was a community built around the nations, both going and sacrificially sending."
